If you’re in desperate need of a staycation or a little road trip somewhere close by, Nashville is always a good idea. And if you’re looking for a dreamy boutique hotel to treat you with all the charm you expect of the south, Holston House Nashville in Tennessee is an even better idea.

Here are 5 reasons you should stay at Holston House Nashville:

1. the art deco vibes.

This historic hotel is an iconic 1920s era art deco building originally designed by Marr & Holman, one of the most renowned architecture firms in the Southeast during that time. It was reimagined in December 2017 by Stonehill & Taylor, a New York-based design firm, with the decor fully embracing Music City's history and charm.

2. The location.

It doesn’t get much better than Holston House when it comes to location, especially if you’re a first-timer to Nashville looking for the full downtown experience. This gorgeous boutique hotel is just around the corner (we’re literally talking about a block) from lower Broadway and is smack-dab in the heart of downtown Nashville. You’re close to tons of Music City’s signature attractions like Ryman Auditorium and Bridgestone Arena. Even Tootsie’s (admittedly crazy touristy, but also one of my favorite places in Nashville) is just a few minutes away. Whenever I visit Tennessee, I want and expect music on every corner, more cowboy boots for sale than I ever thought possible, and a whole lot of whiskey and boy, I am never disappointed. Staying at Holston House really means that you’re right in the thick of it!

3. THE FACT THAT YOU CAN BRING YOUR DOG.

This fact alone makes a stay at Holston House worth it! The hotel welcomes pets of all shapes and sizes (and even species - go ahead and bring your bunny or whatever floats your boat). As long as your pet can fit through their front doors, the pet is welcome! Now, that is hospitality if I’ve ever seen it. Speaking of things I’ve seen, there were a handful of the cutest dogs in the lobby during my stay and I got to spend a ridiculous amount of time making new four-legged friends. It may or may not have been the highlight of my trip. Ok, it totally was the highlight of my trip.

4. The ROOFTOP POOL.

Your girl loves a pool. I mean, I’m the kind of person who packs a bathing suit in my suitcase no matter where I go. It could legitimately be the dead of winter in Antarctica and you can bet that I would still bring a one-piece that feels straight out of a Bay Watch episode (note: whether or not I look like it is another story, especially in the midst of a global pandemic). That being said, Holston House’s pool is the perfect place to kick back and relax with your feet in the water and a cold drink from the bar in hand. The rooftop pool looks out on Music City’s skyline for a view that you simply cannot beat. You can even hear live music in the evenings from the stage! Let’s just say that hanging out at Holston House’s rooftop pool with friends and a cocktail in hand feels very Nashville.

5. THE HOT CHICKEN SANDWICHES.

I wanted to put this at the top of the list, but I’m a big believer in saving the best for last. Y’all, I basically dream about the fiery hot chicken sandwiches from TENN, the signature restaurant at Holston House. Yes, they’re that good and yes, you need one. Or two. Or three. Southern flavor and tradition? You can count me in all day, every day.

So, who else feels ready to have a girl’s day at Holston House with me? I’ll order the hot chicken sandwiches and reserve a spot at the pool. Just say the word and you know I’ll be there!
