Who run the world? GIRLS! Ladies, this is our month! Saturdays may be “for the boys” but March is for the women. Women’s History Month is upon us and it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate all the powerful women who have come before us, and who are currently with us. I love using any opportunity I can to honor women!

Here are some of my favorite ways to celebrate Women’s History Month:

Visit the Metropolitan Museum in NYC.

Obviously, the Metropolitan Museum in NYC is iconic and always has some incredible exhibits. This month, in honor of Women’s History Month, they’ve pulled out all the stops and have put together a 2-hour tour highlighting some of the most iconic women in history. Learn a little history and gain some boss babe inspo from this tour!

Plan a Girl Boss Luncheon.

It’s not often we take the time to honor and celebrate the women in our lives. Women’s History Month doesn’t have to only be about celebrating women of the past. Plan a lunch with the favorite women of your life. Take an afternoon to talk with one another, inspire one another, and eat some delicious food. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy (pizza and cupcakes are always a win in my book). The point is to dedicate some time to celebrate women you love.

Read an Inspirational Book.

We’ve been fortunate enough to have countless female authors who have written amazing books over the years. This month make it a point to pick up a book or two from a female author. Whatever topic you’re most interested in, you’re guaranteed to find at least a few books written by women that will have you excited to read.

visit the Women of the World Festival in NYC.

Feel all the boss lady vibes and head over to the Women of the World Festival in New York City. Yes, it’s an entire festival dedicated to all things women. There will be performances, discussions and more. Naturally, you can expect to see powerful women from all walks of life in attendance.

Get Involved in a Women’s Organization.

If you’re not already a part of a women’s organization, women’s history month is the perfect time to make it a priority. There are countless organizations with different missions, specific to women. Regardless of the particular focus, choose an organization you resonate with and reach out. Most organizations are eager for help and can use an extra hand. Not only will it feel great to do some good in the world, but you will be making a real difference for women everywhere.

Go to an Entertainment Event.

Before you plan to go to any concerts, comedy shows, or theatre events, take a look at the women who are performing. March is a great opportunity to support women in the arts. Nothing shows your support more than actually showing up. Do some research to see which female comedians, singers, artists, etc. have events going on in March and GO!
