Weekly Weakness: Blake Lane in NYC.
If you're like me, you're pretty much always looking for your next meal or planning it out like an evil genius (Dexter's Laboratory, anyone?). What can I say? I don't believe that you can live a full life on an empty stomach! That being said (or written), I forever have a running list of great places to stop in to no matter what part of New York I'm traipsing through. When Blake Lane kept popping up on my radar, I knew I had to stop in the next time I was on the Upper East Side. Let's just say that it did not disappoint.
Blake Lane absolutely kills the food game with mouth-watering takes on poke bowls, brownies and pancakes among many other clean, delicious dishes on their menu. We're talking taking your typical brownie and whipping it up from scratch using local and organic ingredients like black bean and adding mascarpone and a marinated berry compote to pancakes. My mouth is literally watering as I write this because the sweeter options were that good. Add in the casual, bright atmosphere and the amazing service, and you've got yourself a winner winner chicken dinner. With breakfast served from 8am to 5pm, Blake Lane is definitely a must the next time you're on the Upper East Side!
