Trend: 6 Ways to Wear Patchwork Denim.
Denim is undoubtedly one of the most versatile materials pretty much known to man. Whenever I travel, it's always the first thing I pack! It's essentially the nutella of the fabric world - it goes with just about everything.
A good pair of jeans or denim jacket can be dressed up or down in a flash, and is always in style no matter what season it is. Such is the case with patchwork denim in this fall. This trend has had a huge resurgence since the '60s and '70s - living proof that you may want to reconsider keeping a few of those pieces that are currently in your donation bin.
Here are six ways to wear patchwork denim this season:
1. Take a different spin on your traditional boyfriend jeans with patchwork denim. Check out these pairs of distressed boyfriend jeans, petite girlfriend jeans, and low-rise light wash jeans.
2. Go for a more mod feel with a zip through patchwork denim dress like this one from River Island. Keep the retro vibe going strong with suede booties. The raw-cut hem on this number from Vero Moda is the perfect detail.
3. Add some contrast to your outfit by pairing your patchwork jacket with a leather midi skirt. INC International Concepts is totally slaying with their patchwork denim moto jacket.
4. Beat the dropping temperatures by adding on another layer. A patchwork denim jacket makes all of the difference as the seasons transition. Throw it over everything from a thick sweater and skater skirt to a silk slip dress. This one from ASOS is an absolute favorite.
5. A patchwork denim mini skirt can be worn all year round. Mix and match it with graphic tees in the summer and cozy knit sweaters in the fall. This block party mini features a button-down front and raw hem. River Island also has a fantastic version that is sure to be a conversation starter.
6. Make a real statement with patchwork denim ankle boots and a great a-line mini. This pair from Ashley Stewart comes in blue and red!
