It’s about time that we pack away our puffer coats, and get ready for the warm weather that spring has to offer! Spring in New York is finally here. While it’s great to participate in the typical spring cleaning and the picnic at the park, NYC has so much for to offer. Here’s to checking off experiences on our spring NYC bucket list!

Macy’s Flower Show
March 26th-April 9th
Nothing says “Spring in NYC” more than the annual Macy’s Flower Show in Herald Square. Each year, there is a different theme boasting these beautiful floral arrangements. If you’re looking for some garden inspiration, consider taking a cue from Macy’s flower exhibit this spring.
International Pillow Fight Day
April 1st, 3-6pm
There's something exhilarating about being able to participate in an international wide pillow fight… or slightly concerning. Yep, probably slightly concerning. Well, to each their own. On the bright side, donations will be made to Dare2B, an organization that helps fight child poverty and homelessness in New York City.
A Taste of Fifth
April 4th, 6:30-9:30pm
Sample food from local restaurants and bars around Fifth Avenue. Treat yo ‘self to unlimited beer, wine, soda and vodka, and get prepared to have a great night out with loved ones. Top your experience, knowing that a portion of your ticket will benefit the local charity of your choice!
Earth Day
April 18th, 12-7pm
Join fellow earth-lovers in Union Square to jump start Earth Day! On Tuesday, April 18th, check out the Earth Fair exhibitor fair at Union Square. There will be over 70 organizations, live performances, green businesses, and environmental nonprofits, that you can explore.
Tribeca Film Festival
April 17-April 30
The Tribeca Film Festival redefines the film festival experience by using art to unite communities and celebrating the power of storytelling. Browse the schedule now, so you’re prepared to buy tickets when the festival tickets go on sale, March 26th!
New York Cares Day Spring
April 22nd
Nothing beats the feeling of giving back to the community. Pair up with friends, and take the time to join with an organization and volunteer around the community. You can check out a few of these organizations such as helping to feed the homeless, cleaning up parks and streets, helping out at a festival of some sorts, packaging food, etc. The options are endless when it comes to the ways you can lend a helping hand.
Hot Sauce Festival
April 22nd-23rd
As a self-proclaimed hot sauce addict, this festival feels like it was created specifically with me in mind. Be prepared to test your taste buds with hot sauce sampling, peppers and a bunch of other spicy concoctions that will make your mouth water, because it’s getting ‘hot in herre.
Sakura Matsui Cherry Blossom Festival
April 29-30th, 10-6pm
Head down to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens to marvel at the beauty of cherry blossoms while enjoying performances dedicated to traditional and contemporary Japanese culture.
Holi Hai | Festival of Colors
May 6th, 10-5pm
Celebrate the coming of spring, friendship and equality at Holi Hai on Governor’s Island! It’s time to bust out your white t-shirts, and get ready to throw color Festival of Colors.
Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit
May 27th-29th, and June 3-4th
Take part in the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit! It’s a sidewalk show that exhibits artists and craft artisans from around New York, the nation and the world. This event only occurs twice a year, so you won't get the chance to see it again until Labor Day weekend!
